My role

As the UI Designer for Hack and Craft I was brought into the project to start prototyping functionality and requirements that had been identified in the previous discovery and researching phases, then apply the cosmetics, states and interactions through the UI design phase.

Interactions

During the specifying process, it was crucial to visually show users exactly where they were and what stages of the process they have completed.

By using clear interactions, such as changing iconography, shadowing on-scroll and emphasising fonts we were able to successfully communicate to users exactly where in the process they were.

Building a trustworthy UI

Using key elements, I was able to start to build up a pattern library that feels familiar, trustworthy and on-brand, shaping the overall language of the Building Specifier.

By using Zeplin app I was able to work very closely with the development and QA teams, rolling out a clean and result-driven product.
